October brings with it the opportunity for all sorts of fun, whether that’s Halloween-themed or in celebration of Oktoberfest or something else you love! Today the Towers of Seabrook Blog brings you to an event that marries pets, physical activity, and Oktoberfest: Baytown Barktoberfest! Read today’s blog to learn more about this fun activity to participate in near your apartment.

Take a 15-minute drive from home to Baytown, TX to participate in a local charitable 5K and outdoor event benefiting homeless cats and dogs in the community. Bring your own furry friends to participate in a variety of activities for different prizes, all while running for a good cause. If you don’t have a pet but you’re looking to make one a part of your furever family, use the available meet-n-greet with adoptable pets from local animal rescues, shelters, and welfare organizations to find one who is right for you.

You can also find local veterinarians, dog trainers, groomers, pet suppliers, dog walkers, pet sitters, and boarding facilities to learn from and network with at the event, so you have an opportunity to find quality information and tips without scheduling an appointment with your own vet!

And if you’re just visiting for the good cause and great environment, be sure to check out non-animal (but still animal-loving) vendor booths for crafts, accessories, services, apparel, and more to complete the experience or to support other local businesses.

Learn more about A Life to Live, the host and benefiting organization of Barktoberfest, and the treatment of their animals — we know it’s important to choose an organization that treats animals with the care they deserve. We hope you have fun at this event and any others you participate in this month!
